We’ve talked a lot about the food—but not nearly enough about the people behind it. The ones who kept us going with coffee-fueled pep talks, believed in us when we doubted ourselves and poured their hearts into every dish. This story is as much theirs as it is ours.
Long before we had a sign on the door or a menu to hand out, it was just us—cooking for friends, running an online business, and obsessing over every detail of a dish until it was just right. Back then, our Bún Bò Huế was a well-kept secret, a gift we shared only with those closest to us. Then we finally took the leap and decided to open a restaurant. Let’s be honest, everyone is scared of failure. And so were we. We were terrified. Terrified whether this was the right decision, or just another thing we’d look back on with regret.
Fast forward almost two years, and we can’t say we’ve won big time. We don’t have a Michelin star (yet), and Gordon Ramsay hasn’t kicked down our door—but that was never the point. What matters is that we’re still here, cooking with love, and serving the people who believed in us from day one. Every bowl we serve, every familiar face that walks through our doors, every new customer who becomes part of our family—that’s the real success.
We’re proud of what we’ve built, and we’re not stopping here. The journey continues, and we’re grateful to have you with us. So, here are the real MVPs —aka our big, loud, food-obsessed Vietnamese family (literally). They don’t just make incredible food; they bring the warmth, chaos, and love of home to every bowl. Pull up a chair—you’re family now!
